UK Floods
Double the average annual rainfall struck many parts of the UK in June 2007, causing widespread flooding. Several people died and the largest rescue operation ever in peacetime was launched.
MRL played a key role in the NHS response to these events, and subsequently led on the production of guidance for UK healthcare organisations on business continuity planning and resilience, covering a range of disruptive scenarios in addition to flooding such as industrial disputes and disease outbreaks.
