Emergency First Aid at Work Course (1 day)

This course helps the candidate to gain a basic understanding of first aid, along with the actions needed to be taken in the event of an accident at work.

  • Basic principles of first aid
  • Resuscitation awareness
  • Basic wound management
  • Unconscious casualty management
  • Duties of an emergency first aider
  • First aid box and contents
  • Reporting of accidents
  • How to make an entry in an accident book

Available additions to this course are:

  • Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training
  • Primary oxygen therapy and use
  • Basic CPR course

The course is recognised by the Health & Safety Executive and the certificate is valid for 3 years. The HSE strongly recommend that annual refresher training is undertaken to maintain skills and keep up to date with any changes to first aid procedures.
