Concerns by residents of increased traffic through a small village in North Yorkshire resulted in the MRL Eye been tasked to complete an aerial survey of the traffic flows through the village. Using the MRL Eye, this allowed the project team to review high quality video footage which showed how traffic was ‘bunching up’ and creating short, but very significant issues for residents and pedestrians. These images, along with the fixed traffic flow meters allowed a more visual picture of the problem to be presented.
