Will Snell

Will spent four years working in the voluntary sector, running an international youth conference in the UK and a residential training course in India, researching and writing a book on charity trading, and managing internet-based links between schools in the UK and Africa. He has been running an educational charity helping schools in Kenya since 1999, after setting it up at university.
Since then he has spent three years at the Department of Health, including a period in its Emergency Preparedness Division. During this time he led work streams on NHS business continuity and protective security as part of the UK Counter-Terrorism Strategy. He managed the 2006 NHS National Capabilities Survey, led on the production of a Health Building Note on resilience, and worked on the operational response to the 2005 London bombings. He also spent a year at the Department for International Development working on the G8 summit and reconstruction in Iraq.
Will's consulting work for MRL has included work in the UK on NHS critical assets and bioterrorism planning, and a stint of business development work for MRL in Abu Dhabi.
Will now runs Skills Venture, which sends experienced UK business people to Kenya to mentor local entrepreneurs. He continues to consult to public and non-profit sector clients in the UK through Baringo.
