As Associate Director, Julian heads MRL Safety, leading on all operational matters. Julian has been the senior project lead for safety at many high-profile events, in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. These include Live 8, the London Olympic Handover Event, Kylie and Madonna tours and Hogmanay celebrations in Edinburgh, in addition to major brand, marketing and experiential events.

Having completed a law degree, Julian is a Technical Member of the Institute of Safety & Health (IOSH) and is a member of the Institute for Emergency Management. Julian was seconded from MRL to the UK Government's Civil Contingencies Secretariat to work on national emergency planning policy, and continues to lecture on several national and international courses at the UK Emergency Planning College in Easingwold.

Prior to joining MRL, he spent twelve years in the ambulance service, including seven with London Ambulance Service, attending numerous major incidents in London.
